The Loop
Title:  The Loop
Description:  The world famous Tehachapi Loop in Walong, California on the Union Pacific Mojave Subdivision. Completed in 1876 as the final link between Los Angeles and San Francisco. Here we can see the loop with the help of a BNSF stack train (Q-CHISTO6 08) using its trackage rights to get to Stockton, California. A must see for any railfan or history buff.

Description:  Something I didnt expect to see in the middle of California was Canadian Pacific power. This was the third CP motor of the day as I traveled along the Union Pacific Mojave Subdivision. Here we see CP 8870 as the rear DPU on a loaded BNSF grain train (G ONESWA9 07). Currently passing through the town of Tehachapi, California as it helps slow the train down grade.
