Viewing Album:  Then and Now: Bethlehem engine terminal (1977 to 2016)

Album Info:The former Lehigh Valley RR Bethlehem engine terminal saw little change following Conrail’s formation, and throughout the 1980’s. However, as Conrail matured into the 1990’s, and was acquired by NS in 1999, the once-sprawling complex became mainly an office and maintenance of way center. In May, 2016, the engine terminal, roundhouse, turntable, steam-era coaling tower, and power plant were long gone. Remaining are the two office buildings; the large brick office building with a full roof, and the rectangular support building still in it's original green color. Note: Each image's photo date was added within each Description field. In order to present an organized historical comparison within the album, all Photo Date fields were listed as 5/28/16 which is the date for the most recent images in the album.
