Title:
SRC 31, 0-6-0, 1963
Description:
SRC-1963. Here is an original photo that I took near Strasburg, Pennsylvania, on 11 August 1963. Shown here is the head end of Strasburg Rail Road engine #31, an 0-6-0 built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during August of 1908 ~ some 55 years earlier! It's pulling our excursion train to Paradise, where the SRC connects with the Pennsylvania Railroad ~ whereupon it will be uncoupled, pass around to the other end of our train, recoupled, and then pull our train back to the Strasburg Station.
