Album Info:This album shows a selection of shots taken at the site where George Cohen's had their Cransley, Kettering scrapyard. Here, a great many steam locos were cut, as well as some of the early unsuccessful diesel types, shunters, carriages, wagons and London Underground stock, to name but a few. The yard probably closed in the early 1980s, and was latterly used as a car scrapyard. A planning application has been submitted to the local council, for modern warehousing to be erected here shortly.
