Description: |
CB&Q 0-6-0T shop switcher 314 at Galesburg, Illinois on October 31, 1951, photo by P. H. Stringham, print by G. T. Felstead, Chuck Zeiler coilection. According to the book, Steam Locomotive Of The Burlington Route, this locomotive was built by CB&Q's Havelock, Nebraska shops as a conventaonal 0-6-0 with tender around 1900 as B&MR 67, renumbered to B&MR 3050 in 1903, renumbered to CB&Q class G-3 1459 in 1904. At an unknown date it was rebuilt to a shop switcher, and retired 06/47. That retirement date conflicts with the date 10-31-51 written on the back of the print. Note the drawbars in the front coupler. |
