They are pulling a 106-car westbound iron-ore train along with N-8 caboose #478216.

Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #2249, #2290, and #2224. All were built by EMD. #2249 and #2224 are EF-22's built in 1963 and are rated at 2,250 horsepower each. #2290 is an EF-25 built in 1964 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. They are about to pass under the 24th Street Bridge with a 73-car TrucTrain and will not stop in Altoona on their way to the Enola Yards and points East.

Up to October of 2010, at least, #2249 was in active excursion service with the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad in Cumberland, Maryland, as number "501."
