Description:  Origional class DF 606, Order# 5369, Const #s 19977-19980, Date April 1955, Quan 4. In 1965 it was renumbered 3005, 1965 Class EP418-3. On April 30th 1971 GP9 3005 pulled the last Del Monte passenger train. In 1977 GP9 3005 was renumbered 3189 .

Title:  SP GP9 3007
Description:  Recently-repainted Southern Pacific GP9 3007 was on the ready track at New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal, and was going to be the trailing unit on the westbound SUNSET. It was built in 1955 as the 5625 and was renumbered to the 3007 in the 1965 renumbering. At this time the unit still had dual cab controls, as shown by the wings on the long hood; but it lost its bi-directional controls when it was upgraded into GP9R 3190 in 1977.
