Description:
The closer of the 2 cars is the #221, which was built in 1954 by P-S in Lot #6928 to Plan #4189A as CN 2C-2DB sleeper 29 seat buffet lounge #1083 CAPE BRULE, 1 of 8 such cars (#1082-#1089) built in that Lot, which was ordered in October 1952; cars were delivered in May 1954. In 1965, the number of lounge seats was reduced from 29 to 25. VIA later sold the car to the Hartwell-Lowe Corporation (Acme Tonopah) as HLC #1847 BELLE McKEE. Hartwell-Lowe also owned UP 6S-6RM-4DB sleeper #1210 NATIONAL SCENE and NYC 10RM-6DB sleeper #10213 HOCKING RIVER. EXIF: 5:12 PM, f/4.6 @ 1/90
