A CN train momentarily fouls E. Snell Rd. as it heads northeast with five cars and a caboose via former SOO rails at Town of Oshkosh, Winnebago Co., WI, on 18 May '25. The current border between the City of Oshkosh and the Town of Oshkosh is ridiculously convoluted in this area. The current GIS suggests that 3/4 of the locomotive is in a pitiful scrap of the Town of Oshkosh, but the near right 1/4 might be in the City of Oshkosh. The train stopped to throw the turnout (out-of-frame to the left) to enter an industrial spur for a couple of customers. Of course I got to watch a fancy SUV catch a little air as it sped through the crossing as the gates were coming down. |
