Delivered to Southern Pacific as SW1500 2524 in July 1969, this switcher wore SP paint until retirement. Instead of meeting the scrapper's {orch this switcher was picked up by Railserve first becoming RSSX 2524 then 5524 and getting a bright yellow dip job in the process. In this photo, 2524 is busy kicking cars in Miller Yard a little over two yearr before the end of Espee. |
