| This view of C&NW 12517, an open-air platform car (!) and, perhaps, transfer caboose, shows the end view. The car has wooden benches for seating, and sturdy steel handrails with steel mesh for safety on excursions. The "box" or enclosed area didn't have much in the way of "creature comfort" but it was good to step inside when it rained! |
