A 215-car CN ore train clears Stroebe Rd. as it picks up speed to continue northeast via former C&NW rails after a halt at Stroebe, WI on 16 Jun. ’14. Train had four locomotives, CN 8873 and CN 5378 pulling, as well as CN 5441 and CN 8905 pushing. I could not tell if it was loaded or empty, I thought it was cool either way.

Richard Hopfensperger General Nice setting, it looks strange seeing a grade crossing without any crossing signals visible in the photo, though I know they are there. 6/18/2014 6:20:46 AM
T. P. Bruss General I didn’t think of it until you mentioned it, but it does look unusual in an interesting sort of way, even though there is a signal and gate behind the locomotive as well as a matching pair out of frame to the left. 6/19/2014 3:41:50 AM
Railfan 1981 General Great shot!! 6/19/2014 5:43:38 PM

T. P. Bruss General Thank you Gary and Olaf, it is a nice location to catch a train, but I wish there were more prospective locations to photograph them from here. 6/23/2014 4:17:58 AM
Matt Hultman General Amazing Photo. Love how the dirt and grim looks on this unit. 7/8/2014 4:33:13 PM
