Built by SP in 1926-29 like its sister #4336 earlier in the album, this Mountain-type loco appears much plainer with no smoke deflectors or whitewashed faceplate. Specifics - Mt-4, 73.5" drivers, 28x30" cylinders, 210 psi boiler pressure, tractive effort of 57,120 lb, engine weight of 368,000 lb, oil fired loco. No surviving examples.No information was listed for this photo in terms of date, location or photographer.
