PFJ. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Robert L. Eastwood, Jr., that was taken at Frankford Junction near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, perhaps in 1967. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #4400 and two more "Bricks" whose numbers are not recorded. All are E-44's (C-C) and rated at 4,400 horsepower each. #4400 was built by General Electric in October of 1960. It's a high-powered caboose hop! The exact date is not recorded. |
