Shown here is Penn Central Railroad engine #4801, a GG1 (2-C-C-2) built by General Electric for the Pennsylvania Railroad as number "4801" during May of 1935, rated at 4,620 horsepower, and retaining number "4801" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger.
