PRR 6708, M-1A, 1955
Lorenz. Here is a photo via Bob Lorenz that was taken near Tyrone, Pennsylvania, in 1955. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6708, an M-1A (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during April of 1930 and retired in February of 1956 after 26 years of faithful service. With Brush Mountain dominating the background, note the Fireman on the tender's deck. "Fill 'er up, Mack!" (Gift from Brad Mann.)
