| Nice Baldwin builder's photo on heavy photo paper of Elgin, Joliet and Eastern 2-8-2 Mikado #763. Built in September of 1929 along with five other sister locos, it served the EJ&E until 1948 when it was sold to the Duluth, Missabe and Iron Range Railway and was renumbered DMIR #1328. Eventually it was retired in 1961. Specs - serial #61078, class AB, 63" drivers, 185 psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, 333,000 lb, tractive effort of 58,707 lb. |
