PRR 6738, M-1B, 1956         
TRB. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Don Ball, Jr., that was taken at the Rockville Bridge near Marysville, Pennsylvania, in April of 1956. Shown here are two Pennsylvania Railroad "Mountains" about to pass one another with their respective freight trains. In the foreground is eastbound #6738, an M-1B (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an M-1A during July of 1930, rebuilt in Juniata as an M-1B in October of 1948, and retired in September of 1959. In the background is westbound #6721, an M-1A (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by Baldwin in May of 1930 and retired in February of 1956.
