Amtrak Crosses The Columbia
Looking down the length of the BN 9.6 Bridge, we see Amtrak Cascades #504 approaching on the northbound main. The train is led by Siemens Charger 1401, and will soon be slowing for its Vancouver station stop. As the passenger train approaches, an inspection crew makes their rounds on the south main. This bridge was built in 1908, and has been in constant service since then carrying trains across the Columbia River.
