Anthony N. Chando General One little detail, none of these engines are white lined! There is the possiblity of them being rebuilt. 1/21/2005 6:40:24 PM
Virgil Fitzpatrick General Not hardly. These engines were once housed in the shop area to BE repaired. Now they are out on this stretch deadlined. Parts are being taken off these everyday to help other GE units. 1/22/2005 9:22:45 PM
Louis Brzuchalski General NS 8653 plate data: Built as NS (SOU) 8653, C-39-8, 9-1986, serial 45363. P>S> I don't recall ever seeing N units white lined. Usually, the paint out old lettering and restencil with other markings when they are sold for scrap or to other roads. What they don't sell after using all possible parts, they will scrap where is,as is. 6/4/2005 6:20:44 PM
