C&O 8137
Description:
A GE U25B in storage in Handley, WV, on April 10, 1978. Every so often Id come to a place where railroad history unfolded right in front of me. Handley was not far from the major locomotive shops and locos were just left in storage there. The U25B had been the start of the major improvement in horsepower in the early 1960s and less than two decades later sat this battered and unloved example likely never to be used again.
