Description:
SCL 1410 is part of the consist for train 593 which ran between Cayce, S.C. and Savannah, Ga. The train is at North, S.C. 1410 is ex-SAL 539. The old SAL number on the side of the cab is starting to show through the SCL paint. Note that sister 1409 is the lead unit for this train.

SCL 1410
Description:
1410 is in charge of train 593 switching at Fairfax, SC in this 1978 photo. This train ran from Cayce yard to Savannah, Georgia on what is now the CSX S line. At Fairfax, the S line crossed the ex-C&WC/ACL/SCL rail line. 593 has backed off the S line using a curved connection track to the C&WC/ACL/SCL line to do its switching work.
