Description:
It appears that #635 is sitting in a scrap line as it's missing some parts like its bell and headlight. The loco was built in August of 1912 by Alco-Brooks as CM&StP #1888 (serial #51467) but renumbered to CMStP&P 635 in 1938. It's retirement came in November of 1949. No date was given for the photo but most likely it's November or December of 1949. Specs - 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine weight of 277,800 lb, tractive effort of 54,723 lb. An unknown photographer took this photo.
